The Oracle "suite" offers a variety of options to fit each customer's different needs. Within this suite, their Logistics Cloud contains several products focused on the movements of things. The Transportation Management Cloud is the significant product available here. This cloud provides two main services: Transportation Planning and Transportation Execution.

Capabilites - 4/4

The Transportation Management Cloud has one main goal - to optimize the transportation options available to a firm. The Execution portion of this cloud is what is attractive. This service is designed around visibility - to help execute and track shipments.

Ease of Implementation - 4/4

For most businesses, the Oracle product is considered easy to fit around their business, and to implement it. This is thanks to Oracle being considered to be on the leading edge with capabilities of software, platform, infrastructure, and data as services. Being on the forefront of newer and better products in this field pushes Oracle to make adapting their products easier.

The Transportation Management cloud is also obviously a cloud-based service. This means just needing access to the system, making it easily available almost anywhere.

User Friendly - 2/4

Implementation is relatively easy, but the user friendliness is reviewed as being a little tougher, due to a steep learning curve. This isn't to say that this product can't be learned by anyone. It can. It just takes a little more time than comparable products. But when it is learned, the system is a powerful and useful tool.

International Reach - 4/4

One of the largest software companies in the world. Has the ability to reach essentially everywhere on earth. Maintains a list of clients that includes numerous international firms. There are basically no geographic barriers.

Customer Service - 3/4

Oracle, as a whole, receives good praise with ratings from their customers. From a third-party list, Oracle ranks among the top 10 IT vendors for customer service. In our interactions with them, their initial response was timely and helpful, but the subsequent responses were less timely, though still helpful.

Additional Information

This Oracle product is one of the best available options that Costco can choose. There are large notable companies using Oracle to help solve their problems - such as DHL. The service is also flexible, with mobile applications available. And this product is one of our top recommendations.
