Silent passenger is rising in terms of expertise overall; however it is limited in terms of companywide connection as it is not capable of connecting to internal systems. Silent Passenger focuses on fleet capabilities alone. This software has solutions for tracking fleet location, efficiency, productivity, schedule, maintenance, driver data and overall savings opportunities. Silent Passenger is bounded by these capabilities and for this reason, this section was given a 3/4.
User Friendly - 3/4
Silent passenger is a cloud based system that tracks everything you could want to know regarding your fleet of transport vehicles- drivers, location, truck condition, route notifications, etc. While this is all great and useful information, many reviews reflect that these services slow down the server and stunt the accuracy of the system. Also, because of the many different interfaces of their dashboard, there might be a higher learning curve and more time required for understanding all of the capabilities required. For this reason, it has been allocated a score of 3/4 to indicate that the services Silent Passenger offers meets the criteria of what was outlined for our search, however, the user friendly standard we are seeking was not fully reached by this tool.
Ease of Implementation - 4/4
Silent Passenger takes all implementation into their own hands to avoid any training requirements or down-time to your fleet. They have a team to personally disable all old systems that are no longer wanted and replace them with the SP software. One example provided outlined that it only took 2 weeks total to implement this system to a fleet of over 6,000 vehicles with no down time to the company. For the reasons stated above, this software's implementation process is a 4/4.
International Reach - 1/4
Silent Passenger will handle the entirety of your fleet once it reaches a US border or port, however this software does not have a presence overseas. Many of the other options have capabilities to support overseas visibility and for this reason, this category is ranked as a 1/4.
Customer Service - 4/4
All employees of silent passenger work within the US so that all calls are answered quickly by employees that can help you with your account directly. My personal experience with their customer service was positive as they returned my call, a student, from my initial email within 24 hours. Also, once in business with them, you have specific contacts within the company to contact for more specific day to day needs and support. (financial support, technical support, account services, etc.) This category is therefore graded a 4/4.

Silent Passenger supports many industries including construction, delivery, Field Services & Utilities, Food & Beverages, Government, Oil & Gas, and Transportation. The intention of this recommendation is aimed toward their expertise in transportation and highlighting the qualities that would most benefit Costco's specific logistical needs. Also, Silent Passenger is RFID compatible so it will be able to grow with Costco and further their traceability standards.
